Pineapple Souffle
Let's start with a quick and easy recipe, pineapple souffle. It is very easy to make within a few minutes. This delicious dessert has a creamy texture. The main ingredients are whipped cream and pineapple chunks. If you have canned pineapple, it is easy to prepare within 5 minutes. Here I am made with fresh pineapple. Then pineapple chunks are cooked by adding sugar until they become soft. This is done to avoid bitter taste. Pineapple jelly is also an ingredient. I didn't get the pineapple jelly, so I added the water from the cooked pineapple to melted china grass to get a pineapple flavor.
This creamy dessert is very simple to make as well as delicious. I served this at my niece's birthday party. Loved the kids and adults alike.
- Pineapple :1 cup
- Chinagrass :4 gm or pineapple jelly
- Condensed milk :1/2 cup
- Whipped cream :2 cups
- Sugar :1/2 cup
- Soak China grass in water for 30 minutes.
- Cut the pineapple into small pieces.
- Then transfer the pineapple pieces into a pan.
- Then add 1/2 cup sugar.
- Cook the pineapple until soft.then keep aside.
- Melt the china grass soaked earlier.
- Add water from cooked pineapple for getting the flavor of pineapple t china grass.
- Then keep aside.
- (You can use pineapple jelly instead of china grass.)
- In a bowl add whipping cream
- Beat until fluffy .
- Then add 1/2 cup condensed milk and cooked pineapple.
- Cut the chinagrass into small pieces ,
- Then add to whipped cream.
- Mix all together and refrigerate.
Fruits Custard( Fruits Salad)
Fruits custard is the second
recipe for Eid.
Fruits custard is a popular dessert in India. It is
also called fruit salad, made with custard cream and many fruits. Fruits
custard is easy to make and tasty with or without fruits. Fruits custard is a
healthy dessert with more fruits and nuts.
Fruits custard is a refreshing dessert in summer.
How to select fruits:
The different colors of fruits give more attraction to
custard. Fruits custard is made with seasonal fruits. Avoid fruits with high
water content like watermelon, which releases water, and avoid fruits with
citrus content.
About Custard powder
Custard powder is made with cornstarch.
Also, it is made by using eggs. Here I am completed
with the custard powder pack available from the market.
Custard powder is available in different flavors like
vanilla, strawberry, raspberry,
chocolate, pasta, mango, etc. I love vanilla flavor.
Custard is a thick cream inconsistency.
If its thickness increases, add milk as required. If it
becomes looser, adjust by adding custard powder and making it thick.
Do not add custard powder directly to milk.
It forms lumps. Before adding to milk, dissolve custard
powder in milk at room temperature.
Now let's see how to make fruits custard.
Ingredients:
- Milk -1litr
- Custard powder - 5 tbsp
- Sugar -1/6 cup
- Condensed milk -1/4 cup
- Fruits as your choices
- Cashews or any nuts
Preparation:
Step 1.
- In a small bowl, take 5 tablespoons custard powder,
- Add 1/4 cup of milk and mix well to avoid lumps.
Step 2.
- Boil the milk in a nonstick pan or thick bottomed pan in a medium flame,
- Stir well avoiding burning.
Step 3.
- When it boil add sugar and condensed milk ,
- Mix well.
- Then add custard powder milk mix at low flame.(mix well before adding)
- Stir continously for avoid burning.
Step 4.
- When custard will thicken slowly.
- Switch of the flame.
- Then transfer into a bowl
- Allow to cool at room temperature.
Step 5.
- Cut the fruits and nuts(your choices)into small pieces.
- I'm used banana,apple,pomegranate,cherries,and cashews.
- Then add to custard.
- Mix well then refrigerate.
- Decorate with cherries .
Yummy delicious fruits custard is ready.
Vermicelli Kheer
- Vermicelli -1/2 cup
- Milk -4 cup
- Ghee -2-3 tbsp
- Sugar -3/4 cup
- Cardamom powder -1 pinch
- Nuts
- Heat a pan add ghee,
- Roast the cashews until colour changes.
- Then keep aside.
- In same pan add vermicelli
- Roast til turns golden in colour at low flame.
- In a wok add milk and boil at medium flame.
- Stir continously to avoid burning.
- When milk comes to boil
- Add roasted vermicelli and mix well.
- Cook vermicelli til turns soft.
- Dont overcook.
- Add sugar and pinch of cardamom powder.
- Stir and cook at medium flame til the milk reduces.
- When the milk thicken switch off the flame .
- Add roasted nuts
- Allow to cool at room temperature.
